the mysterious Andrew Huebscher

The redoubtable manfire ordered me an HMas present from Amazon which I received in the mail yesterday (The Complete Singer-Songwriter: A Troubadour's Guide to Writing, Performing, Recording, & Business).

But I also received an unexpected second gift-wrapped present in the same package -- Born A Healer by Chunyi Lin, which appears to have been ordered by one Andrew Huebscher in West Hollywood, California for delivery to another (or possibly the same) Andrew Huebscher in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Someone at Amazon must have thrown it in the wrong package by mistake.

Now as it happens there's a cinematographer of that name, so I'm wondering if he bought this book for his father or son or something. Anyway, I wrote to Amazon to find out what to do.

This is awesome.

Thanks to merde for pointing this one out. From SFGate's Daily Dish:

Rocker Tommy Lee has killed fans' excitement over Motley Crue's reunion -- by announcing the music they're currently making is "kind of wack."

Lee, Nikki Six, Vince Neil and Mick Mars recently confirmed reports they're planning to get back into the studio together and then embark on a two-year world tour in February, after six years apart.

And while fans look forward to the re-teaming, Lee, who is still on unfriendly terms with Neil after the two had a fistfight six years ago, remains unenthusiastic.

He tells Blender magazine, "This whole thing's kind of wack. I'm not sure any of (the songs) are that great.

"To be honest, I don't even know why we're doing this interview."

He adds, "One thing I don't miss about Motley Crue is seeing Vince's bloated, disrespectful [bleep] every day."

Neil has taken steps to ensure there's no tension on the tour, by insisting everybody has their own tour bus.
