Thursday show in Durham, North Carlina

I'm going to be down in North Carolina visiting cgoldfish and wazroth later this week, and, not entirely coincidentally, Chris Monti's passing through town on his East Coast tour the same time. So we're going to do a show in Durham.

It's pretty far out of the way for most of you, I know, but if you've got any friends or family in the Durham/Chapel Hill area who you think might enjoy our stuff please let them know about the show ...

We'll each play some solo songs, and we'll also play some Killdevils stuff. The general information is:

* WHEN: Thursday, October 11 from 8 to 11 pm.
* WHERE: The Broad Street Cafe, 1116 Broad Street, Durham, NC 27705
* COVER: No cover. Free show! (Tips will be appreciated, though.)

If you do forward this along to anyone, here's our little self-descriptions from the press releases we've been sending out (plus links to our websites where you can hear some recordings):
Chris Monti fingerpicks and flatpicks the acoustic guitar, plays harmonica and banjo and sings. Country-blues, strange calypso waltzes, World Music beats, guttural folk, improvisation. Chris has released two CDs of original music, Swampland Flowers and Locust Grove, and also performs traditional songs and country-blues.

Jacob Haller has been playing in Providence, RI in bands and solo since 2003. He writes songs about robots, kittens, and infidelity.

Their band, the Killdevils, has been nominated for Best Local Roots Act and Best Local Folk Act in the Providence Phoenix and Motif Magazine in 2007.

I'm heading down Thursday and will return on Monday.
